Release 2.4.0 is now out. Binary and source packages have been
created and uploaded to sourceforge:

   http://sourceforge.net/projects/jdee/files/

Release notes:

http://sourceforge.net/projects/jdee/files/jdee/2.4.0/release-notes.html/download

This release has taken quite a while and doesn't have a whole of extra
functionality since it's been more of a catch up release from patches
that have been piling up over the last few years.

Back to trunk for new development

The source for this release will remain in /branches/2.4.0 but the
contents of it have been copied to /trunk/jdee (the old /trunk/jde has
been deleted) and /tags/2.4.0-rc. The new 2.4.1 release will have
changes only on the trunk and when we cut it we'll copy it to /tags/
2.4.1-rc. I think this makes more sense to most and is more
conventional.

New revision history

A few last changes to 2.4.0 and going forward is a release/revision
history is now generated from the build. A change log is created in
etc/changelog.html and the release notes are in etc/release-
notes.html. This is included in the source and binary packages
uploaded to the site.

To build the packages, you now need the apache-ant-svn package, which
is now under the Dependencies directory in the file section on
sourceforge. You'll also need a command line subversion installed.

Goals for 2.4.1

The goal for 2.4.1 is to catch up to JDK 1.5. For the new 2.4.1
source, please checkout:

   svn co https://jdee.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/jdee/trunk/jdee

Thanks to all the developers for submitting patches and particularly
to Len Trigg for his contributions and help with the administration.
Thanks for Ian Mondragon for his help on the documentation.
