Hi all,

last night I release version 0.6.0 of the JabberTools Importer -- its
first public release. Essentially, it allows one to import contacts and
buddies from different IM programs -- AOL Instant Messenger, GnomeICU,
Gaim, mICQ, and Licq are all stable in implementation, with win32 ICQ
support forthcoming.

The importer runs both in command-line and web-based interfaces, is
written in Perl, and uses Net::Jabber.

The JabberTools project website is http://jabbertools.sourceforge.net
and a tarball of the package is available at
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=20248&release_id=35297 .

Justin Mecham's http://www.jabbertools.org site also has a working
implementation of the web-based program.

Try it out; let me know how you fare. Also, if you have any experience
dealing with win32 ICQ databases, I need help with that.

Feature requests and comments are, of course, more than welcome.

Thanks,
Mike Szczerban
