Please let me know how this progresses.
I'm going to stick with my 'stunnel' kludge for now, until it is clear that
there is no potential for blocking due to SSL issues. I realize that my
method does not scale, but it does entirely remove SSL issues from jabberd,
and works great on Solaris and *BSD.
