I have fixed these errors in the following locations:
http://docs.jabber.org/proto/html/iq.html
http://docs.jabber.org/proto/html/messages.html
IMHO the pages at protocol.jabber.org should be deprecated, and temas
has just changed the DNS entry for that domain so that it now points to
www.jabber.org. The protocol docs are all over the map and need a bit of
a cleanup -- plus I still need to check over and upload the schemas (not
DTDs :) that Dave Waite has put together. I'll try to finish both of
these tasks sometime this week.
