It certainly is an odd one. The 404 would suggest something other
than the (direct) inability to retrieve the prefs, especially
since the IQ-error comes back with a from attribute...
I'm also thinking perhaps the <ns> stuff in the xdb
config is spurious...
If you're still having the problem, perhaps you could post the
relevant parts of the server debug output, along with the rest of your
jabber.xml...?
