Hi all.

I've only been on this list for a couple of months, so please excuse any ignorance!

Anyway, I'm interested in writing a web service listener for .NET that can handle SOAP
messages over Jabber. However, I can't seem to find any documentation detailing server
enhancements that are being/will be made to support Jabber for application
communication.

I could just embed SOAP messages in standard Jabber messages, like what SOAP:Lite
does, but would like to be able to use authentication and message delivery features
like those described in the JAM vision document
(http://jam.jabber.org/docs/vision.html). I've been browsing the JAM archives, and it
seems that there hasn't been any activity since August 2001. Does anyone know what the
status of this initiative is?

Any help and suggestions would be most welcome. Also, if you have any other ideas
relating to .NET web services and Jabber, I'd love to hear them.

Thanks,

Neil.
