We have completely uninstalled the client, including the config files,
and installed the most recent version, and we still have the problem.
Upon further testing, the problem appears to happen with WinJab and
MyJabber as well, and it seems to randomly choose which client will have
the problem.

Could this be something in the server or conference module? Chat isn't
affected by it.
