[JDEV] pthreads

Is there anyone currently working on a project to replace pth with pthreads?  I would like to get involved with this as my company could definitely use this, but I don’t want to repeat any work already done.  I saw the posting that this might make it into release 1.5 or 1.7, but what are the timelines for those releases?  With all due respect, releases are not coming out super quickly and I wonder if it would be possible for me to help speed up the integration of pthreads J   Tim Ferguson
