Well, I've tried to use jabber.org and my own, got further with my own ( but cannot send messages to outside users, users using ordinary icq-clients so it's pretty pointless ), but did actually believe that jabber was suppose to be able talk to msn and icq in addition to jabber users *by default*, not by alot of hassle, like I had to go thru using my own server. It wasn't hard, but I guess I was a bit naive about the features of jabber.
I'll go back and re-read the entire "Programming Jabber"-book I bought. Anyway, I'll be glad for any clearing up anybody can offer or tip/hint etc. Best regards, Thomas Weholt ----- Original Message ----- From: "Peter Saint-Andre" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Saturday, February 16, 2002 12:37 AM Subject: Re: [JDEV] SOT : any ICQ-gateway that work ?? > Are you running your own server or connecting to one of the public > servers? > > Peter > > -- > Peter Saint-Andre > email+jabber: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > web: http://www.saint-andre.com/ > > On Mon, 11 Feb 2002, Thomas Weholt wrote: > > > Hi, > > > > Slightly off topic maybe, but I cannot get any jabber-client to send > > ICQ-messages.
