1.4.2 can make really big log files really quickly. If it doesn't like
an SSL config (no IP, for example), it'll produce a 25MB log file in no
time.

The transports and server-to-server connections universally do not seem
to work.

The server logs lots of this:

20020303T04:09:53: [warn] (io_select): 127.0.0.1(22) is being connection
rate limited

I upgraded to 1.4.2 from 1.4.1 because ICQ and AIM quit working in 1.4.1
(thanks, AOL, morons!), and was hoping that 1.4.2 would have figured a
way around things again. Unfortunately, it looks like even less stuff
works. I know that someone must be successfully running jabberd 1.4.2,
though.

I'm running redhat 7.1, with an upgraded gcc, and pth pth-1.4.1-1

[root@va jabber]# gcc -v
Reading specs from /usr/lib/gcc-lib/i386-redhat-linux/2.96/specs
gcc version 2.96 20000731 (Red Hat Linux 7.1 2.96-85)

Any advice?

Thanks,

-M
