Hi,
I have posted a couple of scripts that will do this
for Linux. The first script you edit to taste in put in your jabber root,
making sure it's at least mode 0700:
The second script should be edited to taste and
goes in /etc/rc.d/init.d. It should be mode 0755:
You can use chkconfig to install it or set the
runlevels manually.
