Hi there Peter (and ALL)

I have a rather interesting scanerio. Fact is, I'm not too sure that Jabber has this
functionality or not. The best way to explain this would be by giving an example of
some kind.
I'm currently running Jabber server ver 1.4.1. I'm authenticating against my LDAP
server with no hastles. Currently the only query I make against LDAP is basic
authentication. The problem is I would like to allow my users (there's about 200 000
plus of them, not all of them will be using Jabber though, only those that subscribed
to the service) to subscribe to different other fascilities our company offers, like
for example sport related news and/or current event updates. I'd like to feed this
information to online subscribed users only. Assuming user X subscribed to Sports
Updates, when ever he/she is online chatting, he would receive a message in which ever
window he find himself (be it chatting one-to-one or in a chat group) relating to
Sports Updates. Would this be possible?

This would really be neat!
Thanks for you input ...
Regards Riyaad.
