Hi! I have a stupid question about Jabber SSL. I think I got it right, but since it is security related, I better be safe than sorry...
I am frequently working with my notebook in untrusted network environments, so I want to encrypt all my traffic between Gabber and my own Jabber server to keep my privacy. I read about the SSL configuration in the Jabber server FAQ (1.14). Will Jabber use SSL to encrypt the entire communication? (Sorry again, I guess this question is really stupid.) Second question: my server does not have a static IP, but I get a new IP every 24 hours. Now, the SSL config requires an IP address: <ssl port="5223">your-ip-address</ssl> Can I skip it somehow, like <ssl port="5223"/> ? Or do I have to update the server configs everytime I get a new IP? Thanks in advance! Regards -- Richard Krber -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- _______________________________________________ jdev mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mailman.jabber.org/listinfo/jdev
