When you save from notepad or whatever, make sure you choose Unicode as the
encoding, that fixed it for me.

Good luck,

Subject: [JDEV] Win32 JabberD Installer

Does anyone notice a problem with editing the jabber.xml file after Jabber
is installed?

I am working on a Windows 2000 workstation. I can install and run Jabber
fine. But, after I edit jabber.xml to change the hostname to the real
host name, and run jabberd, I get:

Configuration parsing using jabber.xml failed: unclosed token at line 19
and column 2

This line just happened to be a comment, so I removed all comments and get
other seemingly arbitrary Configuration Parsing errors. I've tried using
editors under Windows, and also Cygwin on this box.

Anyonw have any idea?

Please reply to this email accoint as I don't read the list.

Thanks,
--J
