[JDEV] installing the jabber server

im using cygwin on my win2k machine. i downloaded the latest version of Pth. i did a ./configure - worked fine. then a make, make test, and a make install. all worked fine.   then i did a ./configure in my jabber directory. worked fine. then i tried to do a make in the dir, but i gave errors. all the errors were "undefined refernce" errors "make[1]: *** [pthsock_client] Error 1".   what could be wrong? thnx in advance.
