Abe , in all likelyhood the error is a improperly formed JID ( not JIB ). A JID is the address that jabber uses to locate users and resources.  JID's should be written as [EMAIL PROTECTED] , like an email address, where jabberdomain.com is the address of the server where the user's account is located.
