Title: RE: [JDEV] BIG Roster in Jabber

If I'm not mistaken, whether you use pub/sub or not, the subscribed users have to be in the news service's roster (the jabber account used by the news service), so the service can receive presence info from the subscribers. In this case, my question still applies, as the roster could grow to very large proportions.

I've seen a few news services implemented as jabber clients. How do they deal with this issue?

Have you considered pub/sub for something like that?
