There are already good systems for transferring voice between people, and these are already well defined for Internet users. VoIP or probably SIP are suited for actually doing the transfer and surely an interface into existing technologies would be better than re-inventing the wheel. MSN does this now with SIP, but doesn't actually handle the SIP call itself ...
