Hi,

I have written a very simply PL/SQL Package to send Jabber Messages. The idea is to receive information from running jobs in the DB without carring for transactions.

In a test, it showed that I receive the messages out of order. Is this 'normal' behavior? And if so, how are such things as RPC over jabber cope with this?

Jabber is an asynchronous protocol, hence the ID attribute. I don't know about RPC, I'm guessing any jabber <-> RPC components make use of the ID attribute.
