I am just curious to find out what will happen if we don't upgrade does yahoo plan to block these accounts? (and see their usage numbers drop).

I have made the changes (from 0x0900 to 0x0B00) in the Yahoo transport and I'm testing it now. I should have a fixed release available before the Yahoo deadline.
