He might catch most of the files that need to be changed if he just
hashes all existing user JIDs comparing to the filenames and converting
them if they match.
This won't work for external users but they are not affected by a domain
name change of his Jabber server.

Only problem might be users using non-lowercase user names to
authenticate with the server.
