Of course, this is fine... but this is not what I understood you were saying. I thought you were saying that you wanted to implement SASL component connections in a lib called Net::XMPP. This could definitely lead to some mis-understanding as Nick stated. I'm just concerned with public perception between "jabber" vs. "XMPP", and having folks draw incorrect conclusions.
