maybe control session is not the correct word - negotiation session is better.



every communication is embedded into a (logical) media session. this media session can be controlled through XMPP commands (like muting, kicking, etc.).


basic flow for actual media exchange goes like this:
negotiation with partner/server/media session (in xmpp) -> rtp session (in rtp)
