Hi,
I am planning to write a new component for jabber to enable multiuser chat
which has roles associated with every participant in chat room and the
functionalities he can make use depend on his role in that chat room. I am
planning to see that this chat room is capable of handling multi media
messages even.
My understaning of this is that the component I am writing should handle
all the roles and the functinons they can handle depedning on roles.
To accomplish this I created a user for jabber component and making the
client to send all its messages to this user. I am using XMPP message packets
and wrapping the necessary information for my component to work properly within
it. I am feeling that this is not a proper way to write a component, but it just
gave me some quick results.
I want to know about a best way in which I can write a component. If
possible some book or some kind of a documentation, but most of the material I
am getting is for jabber 1.4 and very less for jabberd 2.
