I wish this list would be kind and responsive even to noob programmers. This was the first question reiteration. Responses to the original question were not too helpful. It is always difficult to start in a new community until you know what veterans regards as common knowledge. Of course, what Kavitha will learn in this community is, that every programmer must dig through the examples, JEPs, and books on his/her own. Nobody will tell how to program a client. But there are lots of examples in JEPs and books. My suggestion: - try Exodus and watch the XML console. - read an O'Reilly book about Programming Jabber. - the read JEPs. If you are in a hurry and you have the funds: there are enough Jabber experts on this list who will implement for you whatever you need with commercial quality. hw -- Dr. Klaus H.
