The difference is exactly what you'd imagine - lm-send-async.c uses a callback to get the response from the server (which means you don't have to wait to see if the send was successful before your client can do anything else) whilst lm-send-sync.c blocks whilst waiting for a response (i.e. you have to wait for the server response before you can execute the next bit of code). > 2) Is there a function in the library to list the "contact list" > (roster right?) of a user? er, good question. you'd have thought so but I can't find it instantly (nothing I've done so far has needed explicitly it).
