Thanks Peter,

I completely thought it was crazy talk. Now the message makes a
little more sense. So far I had three users say they could not type in the
message out box and two other people on linux/apple machines could not get
it to work. My suspicions are "the microwave society". People (my testers)
are just too impatient (frantic) to allow the network connection do its
thing and are writing back false negatives or the thing just doesn't work in

certain situations. The last person I asked to test this thing I had to tell
her to click the message out box and then type and then it worked. I placed
a screen shoot of application on the bottom to compare to just in case it
doesn't work so that you have something to go on. If anyone would like to
give this a try here it is: http://www.opticalalert.com/jabberIM.cfm

1. I need to know when it fails (which OS, browser or shockwave version)
2. What should I do about the message out box. (Color, size).
3. Should a use a "starting...." message for those impatient few.
4. Start using java or some other plug-in technology.

In Jabber parlance, "eXtended Away".
