I like doing it on jabber.org, personally. As Peter said a bit ago:

The jabber.org website processes could definitely use improvement
especially for updating things like the software pages and server
listings. The software pages probably have the potential to be something
like Freshmeat (we have enough of that information in a database) but
the processes are currently lacking and I'm a bottleneck.

So...let's fix up jabber.org, make it serve as the freshmeat for us,
and keep js.o focused as it is for actual project management and
tools.

We have this:

http://www.jabber.org/software/

All of those projects and products are in a database that I maintain. Ideally, each project owner would maintain their own information (either via a web interface or some kind of x:data/commands interface) and we'd have an admin or two who would scour the web looking for other projects to add and update. And we'd want to present the information in a more useful fashion than simply these boring pages that list the clients, servers, etc. Something Freshmeat-ish but with less clutter.

IMHO. :-)

I backen.

I have set up a quick wiki page on the topic: http://wiki.jabber.org/index.php/Jabber_software_map

If no objections arise, i give this project a kick off.

+1 / -1 ?

Thanks,
Ulrich
