I wonder whether this is not too early to do compression. From what I understand from the JEP, first the server is supposed to answer with <compressed ...>, still uncompressed. The client, in turn, initiates a new stream, which is compressed. Is this assumption correct? The JEP doesn't state this explicitly, AFAICS. cheers, Jakob
