You could probably use this as a system for distributed [buzzword:social] bookmark editing, as that there are several bookmark storage formats which are already XML-based. What I've always wanted though is a system like flickr but where users can tag images on other sites and see tags of users on other sites, instead of being locked into one owned by a single company.
