Exactly. Since Pidgin is mostly a Linux client, it attracts certain
crowds (although it might be shifting a little bit with Ubuntu).

The Adium results on the other hand are a lot more significant i
think. Most Mac users I know use Adium for their IM needs (so it's not
just a geek thing), and Mac users cover a big spectrum of users. And
the results indeed look more like expected: MSN and AIM way up there.
Google Talk is still quite high though, so that's cool.
