Canvas would not be a good idea here. We have a lot of tools for such
graphics
requirement for using out of the box
probably u should have a look before making the decision of buying or
building

Some of the tools include Tomsawyer, JGo and a few others too. Tomsawyer in
particular is very good but is a bit on the expensive side but its worth
every cent for sure.

   I need to create a GUI for managing and modifying a workflow, I need

to use some circles or squares or lines or some icons to represent the
