Greetings, As you are going to display the content by HTML, you have first to standard how the the Yen sign could be displayed in the browser.
HTML to display a yen dollar sign: <html><body>¥</body></html> Checkout other sign from there : http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-html40/sgml/entities.html#h-24.2.1 In JSP, <%='\u00A5'%>, would not produce ¥ for you.
