Convoluted answers? I told him how to do it! I answered him as straightly as 
can be done without giving him an answer, and because it's homework, giving 
him an answer would be helping him cheat. (<TIM DON'T READ THIS PART> It's 
not like he couldn't put simple questions like these into google and get 
back a slew of solutions anyway. Tim, you're not reading this, are you?

Sure it's of interest. Have you never instructed new programmers unable to 
break tasks down? They usually need that little kick of granularity to get 
them started, and when competence comes a-knockin' at their door, they're 
ready to go.
