Greetings,

I am not guru, as same as you, but I had built some little Palm programs in
Java before.

Over 1 yr ago, the MIDP for Palm OS had still not been finalized yet. The
little piece of program running on Palm OS was called Spotlet/KJava Apps. (Not
MIDlet).

I dont know whether have any Visual Tool for building GUI for Palm MIDlet, like
CodeWarrior for Palm written in C.

Anyway, If you just wanna get a trail, you can have a look on the articles from
java.sun.com.

Developing Java[tm] Applications for Palm OS Devices

And, it will guide to download the required tools and software.

Happy Programming !!

Subject: [jdjlist] Building a Palm Application

Dear Gurus,

I want to venture out into the heretofore unknown waters and build a little
Palm application with Java. I have a Handspring Visor (basic model) and I
want to be able to run the application on it when I am done. Any ideas on
what shareware tools I can use to build this app? Are there any issues to
watch out for (memory, GUI API, etc.) during the development?

Please share your experiences.

Thanks!

Greg
