Sure. That's somehow rectified by deploying as .exe, of course.

I have to test with multiple vendors, too, which does a lot to reinforce
my idea that Sun doesn't know how to write specs. I look at it as a
learning experience: "Here's why to avoid crap like Tomcat."

What are you using getResourcePath() for? I've used it ONCE, and removed
it when it turned out not to be worth beans. I don't see why it's even in
the spec except as a sop to ... erm... less-abled people who can't use
resources well, or realise that in J2EE you don't always have a path to
have resources ON. (If this is you, I take it all back, I'm only joking.
If it's not, I'll expect you to go "Yeah, you're right. You're the
champ," or "Preach on, brother!")

The Petstore is and always has been a joke. It annoys the ever-lovin' ...
HECK out of me that Sun has allowed people to use that as anything other
than an overblown example of patterns. See
