[jdjlist] GUI question

Hello all.

Did anybody solve the following task - to make the Java application that starts to run its resident part after the user logging process and registers its graphical shortcut on the windows task bar (rightmost side, like an ICQ )?

Where to start in AWT API or Swing?
Your hints would be very appreciated.
