Hi Greg,

we are using Jrun 3.0 but only as a servlet engine talking RMI to the actual app
server. We don't have real performance problem where we could blame jrun (we blame
our app service).
The only parameter relevant to performance on Jrun were the memory settings. Set your
java runtime parameters correctly for jrun to use enough memory.
If you really need to restart the complete computer to solve the performance problems
, it might also be related to your computer and OS. If Jrun were to blame, restarting
Jrun would fix your problem.
Fixing problems with DB connection is always interesting debugging... :-), and the
question with "normal" in there, doesn't really need an answer I think. Just a good
night sleep, some coffee, and a clear head will help you...(or an expensive
consultant).

good luck

Walter

Subject: [jdjlist] JRun Issues

This is fishing in the dark guys, but we have JRun 3.0 on Windows 2000
Server running Oracle 8i with a thin driver. JRun is giving us HUGE
problems: slow performance, loosing DB connectivity, etc. Computer needs to
be restarted daily with minimal traffic! Can someone suggest some things to
try? Or is this a "normal" if apalling behaviour expected from an EJB
server?

Do we need to configure anything special?

Help!

Greg
