Any chance you could create an isolated test with the inner class arrangement taken from the class that eventually creates the $$class... It almost seems as though the code is being expanded somehow to add the extra subclass in the JBuilder environment, but when you work with the .java files directly this doesn't occur. I wish I had something more helpful to suggest.
