Core Java by Cay Horstmann. It's a fantastic book and
has a longer shelf life. The author has presented a very
unique style of coding which i have sucessfully used in
my every day life.Apart from that, the author has explained
the concepts very nicely.
There's another wonderful book on Swing called
Java Swing
by Eckstein, Marc Loy and Dave Wood. I refer
it daily when
i face some conceptual problems. A very nice
book for the
beginners as well as experts.
IMO Core Java is the best book for beginners and
Java Swing
is great for Swing.
kind regards
abhay
