The web page which that paragraph references[2] mentions both a commercial "Premier Support"
for Java SE 6 ending December 2013 and an "Extended Support" ending December 2016. I assume
"the EOL of JDK 6 train" means when JDK 6 hits the end of its extended support (December 2016). Is
that correct?

As we announced as FOSDEM 2011 [3], security patches from Oracle for
OpenJDK 6 will continue through the "EOL" of Java SE 6 as defined by the
"End of Public Updates" date, which for Java SE 6 is February 2013.
Therefore, OpenJDK 6 will get one more round of security updates and
then be wound down.
Long live JDK 7!
