I think I've already stated what kind of changes I forsee going into OpenJDK 6. It's explained quite well on the JDK 6 Project page. If an IcedTea6 patch qualifies under those criteria then it can be considered, but because stability is the primary concern there is necessarily a high bar. Andrew.
