The unit test provided with the fix also includes fix 7183754 (which only fixes the unit test). The original fix was reviewed by Serguei Spitsyn, David Holmes, Coleen Phillimore, and Keith McGuigan. The proposed backport fix has been tested JPRT (default hotspot test set + the specific unit test).
