Hello, This is a request to backport a JDK 8 fix into JDK 7u12:
8000423 Diacritic is not applyed to a base letter on Linux http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=8000423 The fix has already been pushed to JDK 8, as: hg.openjdk.java.net/jdk8/awt/jdk/rev/0e91d6f3019c The code changes for JDK 7u12 are identical to the ones in JDK 8.
