Just an update on OpenJDK 7u40 progress. Rampdown is proceeding well and
we're approaching the final few builds for 7u40. There are alot of bug
fixes in 7u40 and EA feedback is valuable. Given the volume of bug fixes
and testing needed, the GA date is being pushed out by 2 weeks. It's
planned to have 7u40 GA in second week of September now. Again, all
schedules are subject to change. I'll update the OpenJDK schedule page
shortly[1].
regards,
Sean.

With the planned release of JDK 7u40 scheduled for late August, I've
updated the OpenJDK 7u project page with a summary of the main
milestones left [1]. As ever, the timeline is the current plan and
could be subject to change.
General fixes will continue to be accepted into the 7u-dev forest
until the 2nd week in June. After that, and assuming PIT results are
positive for that week, the jdk7u forest will be forked to create the
7u40 stabilization forest. Requests to push fixes into the 7u40 forest
must follow the phase 2 request process [2].

Sean.
