Following on from my last mail regarding the 7u80 release timeline [0], 7u80 is now in Rampdown phase 2[1]. In phase 2 only showstopper bugs can be fixed.
As I wrote back in December [2], we won’t create separate jdk7u80/jdk7u80(-dev) forests. Accordingly, if you have received approval from a 7u Maintainer [3] to push a change to jdk7u-dev in the past, and have not done so yet, that approval is now expired. If you still desire to push such a change, you'll have to request a fresh approval following the corresponding process for this phase [4], assuming the issue would be a showstopper for 7u80. cheers, dalibor topic [0] http://mail.openjdk.java.net/pipermail/jdk7u-dev/2015-January/010194.html [1] http://openjdk.java.net/projects/jdk8/milestones [2] http://mail.openjdk.java.net/pipermail/jdk7u-dev/2014-December/010126.html [3] http://openjdk.java.net/projects/jdk7u/ [4] http://openjdk.java.net/projects/jdk7u/phase2/phase2-process.html -- <http://www.oracle.com> Dalibor Topic | Principal Product Manager Phone: +494089091214 <tel:+494089091214> | Mobile: +491737185961 <tel:+491737185961> ORACLE Deutschland B.V. & Co.
