So I think for Index, Unique, and ForeignKey, just the field/property names are enough. So String[ ] should be used.

For Embedded and FetchGroup, there's more information needed and so @Field/@Property should be used.

When specifying an index/unique with fields (or properties) would anyone specify more than just the field names? The field itself is defined elsewhere and they only need give a reference to it. Think that was the reason I used
