The only subqueries that are tested in the tck return aggregates (AVG, MAX, MIN, etc). So should we change the specification to require that subqueries must return single values? 3. JDO-735 "Make PersistenceManager and Query support AutoCloseable (JDK1.7+)" https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JDO-735 We should change javax.jdo.Query to add a close method that does not throw any exception. This prevents the implementation from adding a close method that throws Exception. We should document the close method in Query to state that it is identical in behavior to closeAll and should only be used in conjunction with try-with-resources. We should add extends AutoCloseable to Extent with the semantics that close is identical to closeAll. In particular, don’t make the object unusable. 4.
