Agenda: 1. JDO-764 "Allow JDO annotations to be used in meta-annotations" https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JDO-764 Craig is running into an error when building DataNucleus from sources. 2. Patch available: JDO-745 "Support bitwise operations in JDOQL" https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JDO-745 Patch looks good. Too bad we cannot test the functionality. Check it in anyway and we can fix bugs once the tck runs on different databases. 3. Remark from Andy about having the TCK runnable on other RDBMS. - should we run the new test even though the tck only runs on Derby? yes; the tck should reflect functionality even optional features - should we look at running the tck using different databases? Volunteer needed. AI Craig file a new JIRA. Things to consider: - having an external database implies that it is either running at the time the tck runs or it needs to be started and stopped - running the tck uses Derby embedded driver and ij program - configuring the jdbc driver needs to be done before creating schema and enhancing - adding properties to conf will allow users to change to use a different database 4. Need to resolve specification lead issue now that Craig is no longer working for Oracle. 5. JDO 3.1: Need to go through change lists in JIRA for 3.1 RC1 and 3.1 to prepare JCP Change Log 6.
