JDO-652 "Provision of a typesafe refactor-friendly query capability for JDOQL" https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JDO-652 Proposed changes to the API in the JIRA. One suggestion ifExpression becomes ifThenElse with three parameters: condition, thenExpression, elseExpression. And add overloaded constructors to allow literals not just expressions. Also need a way to create numeric literals. e.g. StringExpression Literal(String x), BooleanExpression Literal(Boolean) NumericExpression Literal(Number) NumericExpression Literal(double). 4.
